How much do you need to transport?

You will need to work out approximately how many cubic metres you have to transport. A cubic metre is 100cm x 100cm x 100cm, equivalent to 39in x 39in x 39in. This is slightly larger than the average sized washing machine. Put into cubic feet, one metre is around 35 cubic feet.

So, to measure a sofa you have to measure the width, height and depth at the widest part. You will then probably come to a figure somewhere between 2 and 3 metres for an average sofa.

You are only charged for the volume that your goods occupy on the vehicle..EG…if we estimate that you have 15 cubic metres and you only have 12 cubic metres, then you will only be charged for the 12 cubic metres. Likewise if you have a greater volume than anticipated, the same principle applies.
